Plan Terms

Last updated September 27, 2026

These Plan Terms explain how the ReadiDry Protection Plan works: who can enroll, what the plan includes, the limits that apply, what is separate, and how billing and cancellation work. Your plan agreement and benefit schedule are emailed after you enroll. If anything in them differs from this page, your signed agreement and benefit schedule control.

ReadiDry is a service plan, not insurance. Rebuilding is separate.

1. What the plan is

The ReadiDry Protection Plan (the "plan") is an annual emergency water mitigation service plan offered by ReadiDry ("ReadiDry", "we", "us"). For an annual fee, we provide the mitigation services listed in these terms and in your benefit schedule when a covered water event happens at your enrolled property.

The plan is not insurance. It does not pay you money, it does not reimburse repairs, and it is not a substitute for a homeowners, renters or flood insurance policy. We do not file insurance claims for you and we do not promise that any insurer will pay for a loss.

2. Eligibility

The plan is written for owner-occupied single-family homes, townhouses and individually owned condominium units located in our service area. At launch our service area is Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Westchester County, Nassau County and Suffolk County, New York, subject to the ZIP codes we support.

Multi-family buildings, rental properties, mixed-use and commercial properties are reviewed one by one and may be offered different terms and a different price. If we learn before your plan becomes active that your property is not eligible, we will cancel the enrollment and refund your payment in full.

You must be the owner of the property or have the owner's authority to enroll it, and you must give us accurate information about the property when you enroll.

3. When your plan becomes active

Your plan becomes active 14 days after your payment is confirmed. Your active date and your plan year are printed on your benefit schedule. A plan year runs for 12 months from your active date.

The plan only applies to water events that begin on or after your active date. Water damage that already exists, or that begins before your active date, is not covered by the plan. We can still help with it as a standard paid service call.

4. What a covered event is

A covered event is a sudden and accidental release of water inside your enrolled home that begins during your plan year. Common examples include a burst or frozen pipe, a failed water heater, a failed sump pump, a split washer or dishwasher hose, a toilet or supply line overflow, and a sewer backup. Water that enters the home from heavy rain, storms or flooding is also a covered event, within the same limits as any other covered event.

5. What is included for each covered event

  • Access to our emergency line, answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
  • Priority dispatch: plan members are scheduled ahead of non-member calls.
  • Emergency water extraction from floors, carpet and other affected areas.
  • Air movers and dehumidifiers, set up and monitored until affected materials read dry, for up to 7 days of equipment time per event.
  • Removal of wet carpet, carpet padding, baseboards and drywall cut up to 2 feet above the floor when this is needed to dry the structure (mitigation demolition).
  • Cleaning and antimicrobial treatment of affected surfaces.
  • Sewage backup cleanup: extraction, removal of porous materials that cannot be safely cleaned, and disinfection of the affected area.
  • Hauling away and disposal of the materials we remove during mitigation.
  • Daily moisture readings and photo documentation of the work, which you may share with your insurer.

6. Plan limits

Covered events per plan year
Up to 2
Drying equipment time
Up to 7 days per covered event
Service value per covered event
Up to $10,000 of included services, measured at our standard published rates
Repeat events from the same source
A second event from the same source is covered only after that source has been repaired

If an event needs more work than the limits allow, we will tell you before the extra work starts and give you a written price for it. You decide whether to go ahead. We never start work outside the plan without your approval.

7. What is not included

  • Rebuilding and reconstruction, including new drywall, flooring, cabinets, trim, painting and finishes. Rebuilding is separate.
  • Repairing the source of the water, such as plumbing, pipes, fixtures, appliances, water heaters, sump pumps, roofs, windows, foundations or sewer lines.
  • Removal of mold that is already growing, or that was present before your plan became active.
  • Damage that existed, or began, before your active date.
  • Slow or long-term leaks and seepage that develop over weeks or months, and damage caused by ongoing lack of maintenance.
  • Cleaning, restoring, moving or storing furniture and personal belongings.
  • Testing for or abatement of asbestos, lead or other hazardous materials.
  • Fire, smoke and other non-water damage.
  • Properties outside our service area, and properties that were not eligible when enrolled.
  • Damage caused on purpose by anyone living at or visiting the property.

8. Your responsibilities

  • Call our emergency line as soon as you find water.
  • Shut off the water supply and keep power off in wet areas, but only if it is safe to do so.
  • Give our crew safe access to the property and to electricity for our equipment.
  • Arrange repair of the water source with a qualified professional.
  • Keep your contact details and property details up to date with us.

We may decline to enter, or pause work in, any area our crew lead considers unsafe until the hazard is addressed.

9. Response times

When you call, we confirm your membership and address, assign a crew and give you an arrival window, then text you the crew lead's name. Arrival times depend on traffic, weather and the number of calls in your area, so we do not promise a fixed arrival time. Plan members are always dispatched ahead of non-member calls.

10. Price, billing and renewal

The plan costs $500 per year, billed once a year through Stripe secure checkout. We do not collect or store your full card number.

Your plan renews automatically at the end of each plan year and your payment method is charged the renewal price unless you cancel before the renewal date. We email you a reminder at least 30 days before each renewal with the renewal date, the price and how to cancel. If the price is changing, we tell you in that reminder.

11. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time online or by emailing contact@readidry.com. No phone call is required. We confirm every cancellation by email, including the date your service ends.

If you cancel within 30 days of enrolling and have not used a plan service, we refund the full $500. After that, or once a plan service has been used, cancelling stops your next renewal and your plan stays active until the end of the plan year you paid for. Full details are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

12. Moving or selling your home

Your plan covers one property. If you move to another eligible home inside our service area, email us and we will move your plan to the new address at no charge. The 14-day waiting period applies again at the new address. If you sell the enrolled home, you may transfer the rest of your plan year to the new owner by writing to us before the closing date.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you about any material change in your renewal reminder. The terms in effect when your current plan year began apply until that plan year ends.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms: email contact@readidry.com. For water in your home right now, call our emergency line.
