Information you give us:
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number and property address.
- Property details, such as your ZIP code, property type, size and whether it has a finished basement.
- Messages and requests you send through our forms, by email or by phone.
- Billing details handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email, billing ZIP code, card type and the last four digits of your card. We never receive or store your full card number.
Information created when we provide service:
- Photos of affected areas, moisture readings, notes and job records from service visits.
- Records of your plan, payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds.
Information collected automatically:
- Basic technical data when you visit readidry.com, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools used by our website host and any analytics tools we use.
2. How we use your information
- To check whether your address is in our service area and whether your property is eligible.
- To enroll you, collect payment, send your plan documents and manage renewals and cancellations.
- To dispatch crews, perform and document service, and contact you about a job.
- To answer your questions and requests for a call.
- To send renewal reminders and other messages about your plan.
- To send occasional tips and offers, which you can opt out of at any time.
- To keep our website secure, fix problems and improve our service.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run our business:
- With service providers who work for us, such as our payment processor (Stripe), website host, and email, text messaging and customer management tools. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- With our crews and technicians who respond to your call.
- With your insurer or another person, only when you ask us to.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, crews or the public.
- As part of a merger, sale or transfer of our business, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
4. Text messages and calls
If you give us your phone number and agree to be contacted, we may call or text you about your request, your plan and service visits. Marketing texts are sent only with your consent. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts, or HELP for help. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchase.
5. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
6. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections on our website and a payment processor that handles card data. No system is completely secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by New York law.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as you have a plan with us and for as long as needed afterward to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Service records and photos are kept for at least the length of your plan so we can document work for you and your insurer.
8. Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal or business records.
- Opt out of marketing emails with the unsubscribe link, and out of texts by replying STOP.
To make a request, email contact@readidry.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it, and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Our website and plan are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we will email plan members about material changes.
